Well apart from a few minor problems the transfer from the previous host has been relatively painless once I had unlocked the domain and obtained the EPP code . From the date I entered the necessary information and paid a nominal fee the whole process only took 5 days to complete.
Leading up to the domain transfer, errors that I had reported to my now previous host regarding the Cpanel interface not showing either the PHP extensions or options and an out of date server certificate when trying to update the website pages were ignored with the support tickets unanswered. These issues along with a few others that popped up from time to time when in September 2023 the reseller host failed to pay his reseller fees. My site and numerous others simply disappeared into the ether. Time to move.
Deciding to create a new domain on a new hosting platform allowed for the introduction of CSP (Content Security Policy). Though receiving an A+ still requires a few issues to be addressed including tracking down where JavaScript is being called from, which has been temporarily negated by installing a retro non-JavaScipt editor.
Definitely not ideal as a lot of new features are not available in the retro version. After updating the page headers for WordPress all is working as it should, I hope.
